Meet George! He is a Lab/Basset mix that is approximately 2-3 years old. He is up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, and neutered. He is such a sweet and happy boy, let's find him a forever home! You can visit George at the animal shelter (contact info in our About section). We ask that if you have another dog(s) or small children that you bring them with you to meet George at the City of Lagrange Animal Shelter located at 1390 Orchard Hill Rd. and is open Mon-Fri 10 am to 5 pm, Sat 10 am to 2 pm or call 706-298-3606. You may reach the Lagrange Troup County Humane Society office, which is located in the Animal Shelter, Mon-Fri 11 to 3, or by calling 706-298-3608

Remember, when you adopt a shelter pet, you help future animals coming through the shelter to find homes as well by freeing up shelter space and providing funds for future needs.

Dogs: $50.00
All dog are up to date on vaccinations, heart-worm negative, on heart-worm preventive and spay/neutered before becoming available for adoption.

        City of LaGrange Animal Shelter Adoption Fees:

Base 1
Dogs $75.00/Cats $50.00
*1 Base Adoption fee applies to unspayed/unneutered animals which are NOT current on vaccinations.

Base 2
Dogs $56.50/Cats $36.00
*2 The Spay/Neuter Voucher is redeemable at participating veterinarians in the LaGrange - Troup County area.  The value of the voucher will be deducted from the spay/neuter fee charged by the veterinarian.

Base 3
Dogs $37.00/Cats $30.00
*3 The Vaccination Voucher is redeemable at participating veterinarians in the LaGrange - Troup County area.  The value of the voucher will be deducted from the vaccination fee charged by the veterinarian.  The voucher applies to the DHL, Parvo, and Rabies vaccinations for Dogs, and to the Distemper and Rabies vaccinations for Cats.

Base 4
Dogs $18.50/Cats $16.00
*4 This is the Adoption Fee you pay if you are NOT receiving any of the vouchers. Either the dog/cat is current on shots and already spayed/neutered OR the adopter lives outside the LaGrange - Troup County, Georgia area

WE NEED HELP! 
Help us help the animals.  We still need volunteers to assist with taking our animals out into the community, doing fundraisers, taking animals to the vet and much, much more.  If you would like a way to give back to your community and not sure how to get started, please consider becoming a volunteer to help speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Contact the Humane Society  at  706-298-3608.

Elks Lodge-Saturday, June 22nd  Poker Run, food, fun and adoptions. Ride is 9 until, adoptions will be from 11 to 2/3.
All days and times are subject to change.
More info on Poker Run, 50/50 draw: Saturday, June 22nd, Sponsored by the Elk’s Lodge. Food, entertainment, adoptions, etc. Starting and ending at the Elk’s Lodge on Davis Rd. Registration begins at 9am, first 100 riders, registration fee is $20 for t-shirt and Poker Card for rider and $15 for t-shirt and Poker Card for passenger. Mobile unit will be onsite.

Volunteers are at the shelter on Saturdays to assist with your adoption needs and questions during the hours of 10 am to 2 pm

12th Annual Fur Ball:  Wags and Whiskers!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 3rd.  New for this year with your advanced reservations, there will be a Silent Auction preview during our “Pawtini” Hour starting at 6pm. Dinner, Dancing and Silent Auction to follow. Tickets will be sold in advance at Plum Southern, Salon Bella and the Humane Society Office or reservations may be made by calling the Humane Society office at 706-298-3608 between 11 and 3 Mon-Fri. Advance pricing will be $45 per person and $50 at the door.  Please note the changes in time. We will start and finish earlier this year. Dinner should begin between 6:30 pm and 7:00pm with the auction to start at 7:00pm and bidding will end at 9:00. We look forward to a great and successful evening. All proceeds benefit the many animals that cross paths with the Animal Shelter.
